The short version
PaycheckClear calculates take-home pay in your browser. We do not ask for your name, email, Social Security number, employer, or salary. We do not upload your payroll data, and we do not sell personal information. There is no account and no login.
What the calculator does with your inputs
Your salary, filing status, 401(k) percentage, HSA amount, and other inputs stay in the browser tab. JavaScript performs the calculation locally. The page does not send those values to a server, and the site has no API endpoint that receives them. You can verify this by opening your browser's network panel while changing the inputs.
Shared links and URL parameters
If you use a share link, the salary and other inputs are encoded in the page's query string. That means the values appear in your browser history and in the link you share. The canonical URL of each page is the clean, parameter-free version, and search engines are directed to the canonical version. If you do not want a salary in a URL, use the calculator without copying the address bar.
Cookies and analytics
The calculator does not set advertising cookies or require a consent banner to function. If analytics or advertising scripts are added in the future, this page will be updated before they are enabled, and the disclosure will describe what is collected. Server logs from the hosting provider may include IP address, user agent, and requested URL as part of normal delivery and security.
Third-party links
Pages link to IRS, SSA, and state revenue department websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies. PaycheckClear does not control their content or data practices. Partner links, if present, are disclosed on the page and in the footer.
Children
The site is intended for adults managing their own pay and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
